How it works
- Percentage = points scored ÷ points possible × 100.
- Common US scale: A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, F below 60.
- The 1–10 figure is simply the percentage divided by 10 (minimum 1).
- Schools can use different cut-offs — always check your own grading policy.
Worked example: 42 out of 50
- 142 ÷ 50 = 0.84.
- 20.84 × 100 = 84%.
- 384% is a B on the US scale.

How do I calculate my grade percentage?
Divide your points by the total and multiply by 100. 18 out of 25 is 72%.
What percentage is a B?
On the standard US scale a B is 80–89%. Some schools use plus and minus grades within that range.

It calculates one score. For weighted averages, multiply each percentage by its weight and add them up.
